Integrative women’s health care that addresses your body, your mind, and your spirit… all in one place.
Rooted in in the historical, cultural, and spiritual experiences of Black women, The Eudaimonia Center exists for the “thrival” and wholeness of the entire person, not only the management of symptoms, but also the full flourishing of your health, your identity, and your life.
Our practice is grounded in the womanist ethic of care, an ethical framework rooted in the lived experiences and cultural heritage of Black women, centering holistic well-being, communal survival, and systemic justice. It is characterized by:
Be seen. Be heard. Be valued. Here.
Your mental and emotional health is not held separately from your physical health, it is inseparable from it. Our licensed therapist provides a culturally affirming space where you can process, heal, and grow without having to explain yourself first.
Not every body responds to food the same way. Our approach to nutrition is personalized to your unique biology… using your blood type as a foundational lens to guide anti-inflammatory eating, metabolic resistance, and long-term vitality.
An ancient practice with modern clinical evidence behind it. Acupuncture at The Eudaimonia Center addresses hormone imbalance, pain management, stress regulation, fertility support, and more… integrated seamlessly with your overall care plan.
Healing happens at every level: spiritual, mental/emotional, physical, and energetic. Our Reiki Master Teacher and Metaphysician work with you to restore balance, release what no longer serves you, and reconnect with your own wholeness.
A 7-week, physician-led, integrative wellness circle for women who are ready to heal… not just cope. Multidisciplinary. One cohesive experience.
One intentional community of women doing the work together alongside each other.
Founded and led by an OB/GYN and reproductive endocrinologist who is also licensed in acupuncture and clinical herbalism. Conventional medicine and traditional healing modalities work together here… not in opposition.
Grounded in the Womanist Ethic of Care. Rooted in Alice Walker’s philosophy of wholeness. Every provider, every practitioner, every service, and every interaction is shaped by a deep understanding of the lived experiences of Black women.
Therapy. Acupuncture. Nutrition. Reiki. Dance movement therapy. Yoni steaming. Yoga. Reflexology. Herbal medicine. Health coaching. Qi gong. Energy healing. No coordinating between multiple practitioners. We’re already here!
Dr. Laurena White is deeply committed to health, well-being, and… HEALING. In 2018, she opened the doors of The Eudaimonia Center with a single conviction: Black women will receive health care built around the fullness of who they are, not just the parts that fit neatly inside a 15-minute appointment. She grew the practice from a solo operation to a dynamic team across three Washington, DC Metro area locations. With over 20 years in women’s health from labor support doula to OB/GYN, reproductive endocrinology, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine, she is an integrative reproductive medicine and women’s health provider who actively bridges science, faith, and the Womanist Ethic of Care. She is also a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Alumna and corporate wellness strategist who has successfully integrated conventional medicine and traditional healing modalities so that the care her patients receive is not only restorative, but also transformative.
The Eudaimonia Center is the result of her original conviction… a physician-led, integrative practice where clinical excellence, cultural competence, and understanding of integrative medicine are never competing values.
Whether you’re seeking individual care or are ready to commit to a full transformation through The Eudaimonia Method (or one of our other signature programs)… we’re here and we’re ready!
